There are currently a number of FA Safeguarding courses for managers, committee members, parents, etc.
Many of these are available free online and can be accessed by clicking here and is aimed at parents and other volunteers who are looking for an introduction to Safeguarding. There is also the Welfare Officers Workshop which goes into more detail than the basic Course and completion of both is necessary for a Club Welfare Officer to be able to take on that role in youth football.
The full Safeguarding Children Course provides club officials, coaches, and referees with an awareness of best practice in safeguarding children in football. This qualification has a life span of two years but your renewal cost is included within the initial payment.
